“Zen People”<\/h2>\n

Even if cyclists do not represent a very large part of its clientele, Jean-S\u00e9bastien Pag\u00e9, the hotel manager, wishes to see this market grow.<\/p>\n

“It’s a great clientele. They are zen people, not too stressed most of the time,” he analyzes. “They are often retirees.”<\/p>\n

“The hotel is really well located for cyclists, because the bike path passes not far in front.”<\/p>\n

He says he is satisfied with the partnership with the Voyager \u00e0 v\u00e9lo team,<\/a> which regularly brings him cyclists. “We work hand in hand with the people of this company,” summarizes the businessman.<\/p>\n

The hotel staff takes care of small attentions that can make a difference, adds Mr. Pag\u00e9. “When the luggage arrives, for example, we will take it up to the client’s room,” he says proudly.<\/p>\n

Our aim is lasting satisfaction, not fleeting trends.”<\/p>\n

A Bike-Friendly Neighborhood<\/h2>\n

H\u00f4tel des Coutellier is located in a cycling-friendly neighborhood and offers secure overnight bike storage for guests. For those who prefer not to travel with their own bicycles, Cyclo Services, a nearby business, provides bike rentals.<\/p>\n

“We are a stone’s throw from the Gare du Palais. What we regularly see are cyclists who will leave Montreal by bike to Quebec and return home by train,” he affirms.<\/p>\n

A 4th Star<\/h2>\n

H\u00f4tel des Coutellier officially opened its doors on September 1, 2000. Ten years later, the establishment obtained its 4th star.<\/p>\n

In June 2014, the restaurant L\u00e9gende par la Tani\u00e8re, which has just received its first Michelin star, was welcomed.<\/p>\n

From 2022 to 2025, major works were undertaken on all facades of the historic building. The red brick was restored to its natural state and the building’s former luster was regained.<\/p>\n
